Facebook has recently released a new service for its users. You will be able to reserve a username for yourself or your business. This means that once you create a page or profile,  you can promote it by linking directly to www.facebook.com/mybusinessname/

Besides the ease of referral, this feature will also help with search engine optimization for your website. We encourage our clients to, at the very least, create a page for their business as Facebook has become quite a powerful marketing (and non-productivity) tool.

Unless you already have over a 1000 ‘fans’ , you will have to wait until June 28, 2009 to reserve your own username. Read more about the service here.
